Like a lot of jewelry artisans my devotion to the craft began as a casual hobby. My jewelry making journey began in 2001 when I stumbled upon lampwork beads. I became obsessed with that art. Since then, I've dabbled in many materials and techniques until a metalsmithing class taught me how much I love creating pieces from a plain sheet of metal. Silver and copper are my favorites to work with, and I occasionaly use brass. I love blending color, shape and texture.
I'm inspired by nearly all artisan jewelry techniques and materials, so consequently, I have a very broad design aesthetic. I particuarly love forming organic pieces from metal and combining them with beautiful, artisan crafted lampwork beads, ceramic and enameled components, quality semi-precious gemstones and a number of other "ingredients".
I'm proud to be a very early member of the international Self-Representing Artist in Jewelry Design organization (SRAJD) -- Member 138.
