Recently retired from more than 30 years as a scientist/engineer in the semiconductor industry, I now find life balance via realistic watercolor painting. Since 1982 I have studied with many of our local talented artists which include: Margaret Washington, Jane Hofstetter, Karen Frey, and Rick Bennet.
My subjects range widely from still lifes of succulents to street scenes of Europe. Each picture starts with a carefully cropped photo taken in full sunlight. I like to capture maximum contrast and color along with strong shadows from unique angles.
Fans can view my work in the annual Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society shows and at the Silicon Valley Open Studios. This year I was selected as the featured artist in the Hobee’s Restaurant Art show sponsored by SCVWCS.
