As a jewelry artist and metalsmith, design is my passion. I love exploring different styles, experimenting to create pieces that are visually harmonious yet contemporary and striking. Inspiration is everywhere – the curves of nature, the geometry of buildings, and especially the designs of ancient cultures. The results are both unique and eclectic!
I've studied with local jewelers and internationally renowned jewelry artists. I work mostly in my home studio, with many different metals and techniques such as forging, soldering, etching, and roller-printing. Shady Lane Gallery in Sharon Heights carries my work, and you can also order things directly from my website, www.duttonartjewelry.com. I welcome visitors to my home studio on the Stanford campus, and enjoy brainstorming ideas for custom pieces that reflect clients’ individual ideas or needs.
