I paint in a loose expressionistic style which reflects the joyous state of mind I'm in while painting wild horses. It feels like I'm running wild with them in the free open air. Saving these wild beautiful horses and boroughs is important to me, so I donate 10% of sales to them.
This loose style is carried over to figure paintings, where I feel as though I'm twisted in the poses as I paint.
The human body and wild things have been my chief interest since childhood when I would draw tumbling children at play, inspiring my mother to send me to the Corcoran Art Museum in DC for an art class in clay. I was mesmerized by the demonstration and knew I would be an artist always.
