Hi, my name is Susan Graeser and I have been a window painter for 53 years. I started while in high school and retired about 2 years ago. I made the transition from graphic art to fine art 2 years ago, primarily painting landscapes with acrylics.
Since then I have sold paintings of; Santa Barbara Mission, Wild Flowers in the Moon light, three paintings of Sunflowers and one of Cherry Creek Park, Colorado, (a commissioned work)
I show my work in the Art Around Town program of Valle del Sur Art Guild of Morgan Hill at; Sinaloa’s Café, Just Breakfast, Betto’s, and Bubbles of Morgan Hill. I also set up a tent at Satori Cellars Winery once in a while.
I take my inspiration from pictures in Country Magazine and my memories of back packing trips in the Sierras. I love Tahoe and the Colorado Rockies. I live in the South Santa Clara County, on three acres, (once filled with prune and apricot orchards).
I have also tried teaching what I know and I love it! I work with beginners and take them from the beginning basic drawing and bring them to painting wonderful landscapes. I really enjoy seeing their progress and the pride they feel.
