FUN, MEMORABLE and full of NEW DISCOVERIES
For the third year in a row, “FUN and MEMORABLE” is our overall theme. This year will feature new discoveries in my artist’s journey. Among them, a pastel & ink series based on a view of 1754 Dresden, each one with a dominant color, Black, Blue, Emerald and Yellow (pictured above). There are also larger pieces inspired by the MARFA notebook pages (among them, the other two pictures above). Most art pieces are framed and ready to hang. I use acrylic paint, acrylic gouache, chalk pastels, oil pastels and ink to create the art. All of these media show the beauty I see, imagine, and want to share.
In my art, I do not try to tell a story; I show what I see, and let the viewers discover stories that speak to them.
In addition, a visit to my studio includes a wide variety of pictures inspired by my experiences, travel and observations, featuring bright colors and bold designs. Available for sale will be small reproduction cards and prints, and original art works on canvas and paper.
A visit to to my studio will bring enjoyment to your day!
So please come to my open studio, and feel free to bring children. They will experience a working artist’s studio. We are once again offering our successful “Junior Artist Studio” where children will have an opportunity to create their own artwork, using parent-friendly washable paints.
My studio is a bit out of the way of most Open Studios, so expect a block party atmosphere with neighbors and friends, fun, laughter, wine, and of course, a beautiful Art appreciation experience.
