I chose paints and brushes as my words to share my experiences and stories because I believe a successful painting can speak well for me.
Diana Yu Johnson is a wife, mother, grandmother, and artist. She was born and raised in Taiwan, but now lives in the Bay Area.
Her art journey began about twenty years ago. She loves nature, traveling, and the joys of life itself. Inspiration comes easily to her from those experiences. Often, she paints from those memories. Impressionism is her favorite art form. Studying value changes suggesting depth in landscapes, rendering gradations of light and shadows, or mixing up gorgeous color palettes for her next projects are cerebral treats.
She is mostly self-taught, with some art lessons from De Anza College and the Fremont Unified High School District Adult Education School, where she is now, herself, an instructor. She is an active member of the Sunnyvale Art Club since 1999. She has won many awards through various art show competitions
