I started working in clay about 18 years ago when my sister invited me to a ceramic camp in Wisconsin. We have been going back most every year since. I create unique pieces that have been hand built or thrown. Throwing a form on the wheel and changing it by cutting, darting, or stretching to make its own unique shape is something I really enjoy. The hand-built pieces are normally full of texture with added feet, lids or handles using copper wire and driftwood.
My work includes baskets with copper/wood handles, pour over mug sets, pitchers, vases, urchin bowls, bowls and a variety of other unique pieces.
I’ve done several workshops at Art Venture in Dodgeville, WI, Higherfire San Jose, CA, and 323Clay in Kansas City.
