Anne is a French bookbinder and book restorer (Master in Bookbinding in Brussels in 2004). While she was working in Europe, she completed many projects for local governments, universities, libraries, and for book lovers. She takes pride in traditional craft bookbinding skills using only the finest leather, papers, silks and gold leaf to create beautiful books which are a pleasure to touch, read and display. With every book restoration, her work strives to maintain the original binding, with special care and proper bookbinding technique and archival materials.
Atelier Anne also creates custom leather journals and a variety of leather goods with laser engraving. Engraving is the process of imprinting a design into the leather. The laser removes some amount of leather by cutting and scraping. This effect creates an interesting texture and professional finish. Whether it is a travel book, sketch book, diary or a keychain, a leather good instantly becomes more special when it is personalized with engraved gorgeous details.
