I have deep respect for the “rustic” aspects of life—those hard-working, calloused, unpretentious, earthy aspects that support and enrich our lives and spirits. Functional pottery echoes vital, centuries-old purposes. So I’m currently making functional pottery— ceramics that are designed to be a pleasure to use, that work hard, and are a comfort in your hand or on your table.

My glaze palette represents forests, water, rock, and earth—natural elements that strongly inspire me. I add various decorative details to create clues to each piece’s personality. I strive to make any piece you choose a personal gift, something that connects my heart with yours. My ultimate intention is to create imaginative, finely-crafted, beautiful, yet everyday works of art that you reach for often and will live happily in your home or garden.
